An East Lancashire place of worship can add a new front entrance.
The Markazi Jamia Masjid Ghousia Mosque, in Abel Street, Burnley, has been granted planning permission for the upgrade.
It is proposing a front entrance extension, new materials to external walls and a new boundary wall to match the existing Mosque.
Burnley Council has approved the application from Raja Khalid with conditions.
The proposal was supported by Cllr Sobia Malik, an Independent representing Burnley Central East division on Lancashire County Council.
Lancashire County Council highways department told Burnley Council planners: "With respect to this application, we would not wish to raise any objections to the proposals.
"It is noted that there is an existing section of pedestrian guard rail at the existing entrance.
"From the plans provided it is expected that a second section of guard rail will be required to cover the additional width in the new pedestrian access, these may require repositioning to align them to the new access.
"It is also noted that the site frontage has restricted parking."
