A SECOND man has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death at a house party in Darwen early last Saturday.
Police confirmed that Craig Anthony Cosgrove, 33, of Newton Street, Darwen, was charged with Steven Taylor's murder at 8pm.
The 29-year-old died from a knife wound to his abdomen.
Rodney Elliott Kay, 27, of Rose Street, Darwen, has previously been charged with Mr Taylor's murder and will appear before Preston Crown Court in November.
Cosgrove was detained at an undisclosed address in Greater Manchester, at around 6pm last night before being taken to Greenbank Police Station, Blackburn, for questioning.
Police have also charged taxi driver Lee David Martin, 36, of Westwell Street, Darwen, with assisting an offender in relation to the same investigation.
Cosgrove - who is believed to be originally from Glasgow - is due to appear before Blackburn magistrates' tomorrow.
Detective Inspector Peter Broome, of Lancashire Constabulary, said: "Cosgrove was charged with murder at 8pm after being questioned by detectives in Blackburn."
Officers are still searching for the weapon used in the incident, which is believed to be a large knife.
