Torrontes is Spanish grape which mixes well and Chenin was originally a French grape with the same characteristics.
Put them both together and we have a very drinkable, workaday white with pineapple and lychee flavours from one of the largest Fairtrade wine operations employing more than 200 in Argentina's Mendoza region.
That's two good reasons to buy . . . and there's a third - the excellent price.
Fairhills Chenin Torrontes 2007, £4.99, Tesco
