The first of two Roses is a bargain basement wine from the Argentine Zuccardi family whose apricot Viognier featured last week.
This is 100 per cent Syrah or Shiraz and its dry, bright, zingy and refreshing but still seriously enjoyable.
Just the thing nicely chilled on a sunny summer's afternoon.
Santa Julia Syrah Rose 2007, £4.99, Somerfield.
