Of course it's tragic all round, especially for ALL concerned - not just the departed. However, it's right to be objective about incidents like this, there's always innocents involved too. Let's hope the same support is put into learning the lessons here (whatever they may be) to lessen the chances of this happening in the future. If, as seems to be suggested, it is from dangerous driving, a sense of collective responsibility and ownership by ALL drivers equal to the grief will hopefully bring a sad, but crucial benefit. RIP

I am not religious and so cannot say any prayers for all of those involved. However, as with any fatality, my thoughts are with those bereaved at this sad time and, of course, those who were injured. However, some of the media reporting of road traffic accidents leaves an awful lot to be desired and this is yet a further example. The comment regarding which vehicle was where upon impact is not attributed to an individual or organisation and, until an inquest is held, is mere speculation. At a time of mourning for families, friends and communities, perhaps a modicum of responsibility from this and other news media is called for. Again, my thoughts are with this young man's family, all who knew him and everyone involved.

Sameer was a very good man, he cared for his friends and family, he is many years older than me,am 28 now.. but i have grown up with him living in the same area. many times he has pulled me out of trouble. he is a great loss.. as we can read.. he was respected by many people.. simply because he cared for the people he knew.. race and faith did not matter to him.. 1st of all May ALLAH Grant sameer junnah, may all forgiv any of his wrong doins if he has done, my thoughts also go out to the others involved at the accident, may allah grant u all a speedy recovery. As for all these people who show no respect o remorse for a person who has passed away, i think u should all ask god not to giv u a painfull death, when a person passes away u shud realise that one day everyone is goin to go, in this world people need to stop all this nonsense fighting, arguin, racism, facism etc if everyone got on the world wud be such a happier place. Whether he was driving wrecklessly or not, it's a tragic accident and we must pay respects to Sameers. It's up to the police to investigate why the accident happened. It's another warning to us all to drive safely at all times and be aware of the potential dangers on the road.

The A59 is dangerous throughout. I have been driving 55 years and been lucky enough to survive my own misjudgements. My sympathy to those bereaved.

Alhumdulillah it is very evident that most of the messages are from the heart and written with ikhlas e niyat. At a janaza of a relative, whilst waiting for people to arrive the respected mufti shabbir sahib related a hadith the nearest meaning of which was, "that if 5 yes only 5 people in a janaza with utmost sincerety speak good of the deceased then ALLAH swt forgives the deceased and grants jannah". Allah-o-akbar, such beauty, compassion and mercy in our deen. For those left behind, mainly the family, relations and close friends, i hope this gives some comfort and strenght to cope at this difficult time. The mark of true love is to then ensure that we do not forget our deceased by sending regular thawab. They and us benefit.

I feel as if I have no right to grieve for Sammy, but my heart is so heavy since hearing about his death yesterday evening. The same shock has come flooding back as to when I heard about the drwadful days when Makhdoom, Desai, Imran Aziz, Usghar Ali, Suhel Conggress and Oggy and not forgetting all the other people who have died on that notorious road. How many more of our boys are going to die in such tragic circumstances leaving their families to cope with the aftermath. May Allah SWT open the gates of Jannat for all the deceased. Please Pleasee boys learn from these cases, dont forget about them 2 weeks after the Janaza. May Allah SWT give his family peace and Sabr during this very very difficult time. May Allah SWT also give comfort to the injured and help them to recover quickly. Ameen. RIP Sameer Vohra, you will leave a void in many peoples not least your children.
