Two cars without insurance have been seized in Lancashire, with one driver "only just getting his licence back from being disqualified" from the same charge.

Lancashire Road Police posted one of the cars that had been seized in Preston, a silver Volkswagen Golf, at 3pm yesterday (Friday, April 26).

Both cars had been seized due to having no insurance, with one driver being disqualified for no insurance previously.

Operation Centurion is Lancashire Police's new campaign focusing on anti-social behaviour issues across the county.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Road Police said: "Two out of two cars seized so far this afternoon in Preston for no insurance as part of Operation Centurion.

"Both drivers now facing prosecution, one of which only just got his licence back from being disqualified for no insurance."
