There is so much detail in this aerial photograph looking down on Blackburn in 1991 it would make a great jigsaw.
In the foreground you can see many of the town’s major buildings with the shopping centre bottom right and the new town hall tower block. You can clearly see King George’s Hall and just to the left of it is Waves with Blackburn College further to the left.
In the centre of the photo you can see what would become Barbara Castle Way taking shape.
