ALLEY gates may be installed in several streets in the Corporation Park area of Blackburn in a bid to make residents feel safer.
Blackburn with Darwen Council has asked its planning department to install gates behind 91 to 131 Dukes Brow, 2 to 34 Gilbratar Street, 64 to 100 Lynwood Road, 1 to 13 Higher Bank Street and 1 to 8 Dukes Court.
According to documents submitted with the application: “The gating scheme is part of the council’s Community Safety Programme in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour at the request of residents, or other interested parties.”
