The health trust in charge of mental health services in Lancashire has this week made two senior appointments.
Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has announced that Professor Heather Tierney-Moore has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Professor Christopher Heginbotham has been appointed to the post of non-executive director.
Prof Tierney-Moore, who has a distinguished track record of achievement in the NHS with a background in nursing, will replace the retiring CEO Finlay Robertson whilst Prof Heginbotham will serve a three-year term from September 1.
Jo Darbyshire, the Trust’s chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome such experience and talent to the trust. These are very important appointments to support the development of mental health care in Lancashire.
“We are thrilled to welcome Heather to Lancashire Care, where in succession to Finlay she will lead the next phase of our development in the provision of mental health and substance misuse services.
“We are also delighted to have Chris’s experience, especially in the field of mental health. His Mental Health Act Commission experience will be particularly useful to us in our quest to develop the quality of our services.”
