TRAINS in Lancashire are being ordered to slow down for two months as leaves affect the region’s railway lines.
Rotting vegetation will mean a reduced service until December.
Currently the hourly ‘stopper’ service, running from Blackpool to Colne and back, calls at 15 stations.
But until early December passengers will have to choose between alighting at Cherry Tree or Pleasington stations, in Blackburn or Huncoat or Hapton station, near Burnley.
Some services on the Manchester to Clitheroe line are also being retimed.
