A MISSING child was found - just seconds after a police helicopter was launched to look for her.
The nine-year-old, who had tried to walk from Accrington to a relative’s in Oswaldtwistle, was lost for two hours.
Police drafted in 25 officers to help with the search after the girl went missing from the Richmond Road area of Accrington on Saturday.
She decided to walk to Oswaldtwistle without telling anyone, but soon became lost.
She started to flag down passing cars and police said a female motorist stopped and took the child where she wanted to go.
