Hyndburn Christmas lights switch-on events

DETAILS of Hyndburn’s Christmas lights switch-on events have been announced.

The festivities kick off in Accrington on November 20 at 6.30pm followed by a giant aerial display above the Arndale Shopping Centre.

There will be a entertainment stage outside the Town Hall at 6.30pm followed by the light switch on at 7.30pm with a firework display at 7.40pm in front of the Arndale.

Area councils have also organised Christmas tree light switch ons across the borough:

- Church’s takes place at Dyke Nook Gardens, Whalley Road, on November 27 at 6.00pm.

- Great Harwood’s takes place at Towngate Square on November 28 at 6pm.

- Rishton’s take place at the Civic Centre on December 1 at 6pm.

- Milnshaw’s take place at Manor Street Gardens on December 3 at 6pm.

- Huncoat’s take place at Altham Lane Corner on December 5 at 6pm

- Oswaldtwistle’s take place at Jubilee Gardens on December 8 at 6pm

- Clayton-le-Moors’s take place at Hare and Hounds on December 9 at 4pm then at 6pm in Barnes Square.

-Altham’s take place at the Village Green opposite Walton Arms on December 11 at 6pm provisionally.
