RESIDENTS in Rishton are warned to be on guard after a woman was a victim of a distraction burglary.
Police said a woman in Harwood Road was visited by a bogus official last Wednesday who claimed he was at her home to do some plumbing.
He pretended to work on some taps then stole a bag, which contained a wallet with credit cards worth a total of £250, as he left.
He is white, around 18, and of medium build.
He had short hair and was wearing an earring.
