A RISHTON school girl’s depiction of the nativity has been chosen to grace Lancashire Police Authority’s official Christmas card.
The felt tip drawing by Alicia Grace Topham was chosen from more than 400 designs sent in by pupils from the county’s primary schools.
The nine-year-old was presented with a £25 gift card, as well as a £100 gift card for her school, St Charles’ Roman Catholic Primary School, at a special tea party held at Preston’s Harris Museum.
Having considered all the entries, the judging panel said that the standard was very high.
Chair of the authority, Coun Malcolm Doherty said: “It really marks the start of the run up to the festive season when you unveil your new Christmas card, designed by a young member of the community.
“We thought Alicia’s entry really captured the traditional Christmas story.”
