Coventry City will have to assess three players before their trip to Blackburn Rovers whilst Mark Robins also paid tribute to Kyle McFadzean.

The Sky Blues boss admitted after the defeat to Hull City in midweek that his squad was suffering from fatigue and injuries ahead of the weekend.

Coventry played Manchester United on Sunday, Hull on Wednesday and have another midweek game after their trip to Ewood Park this weekend.

They are sweating on the fitness of Luis Binks, Joel Latibeaudiere and Victor Torp but Fabio Tavares has been ruled out.

Saturday will be the first time Kyle McFadzean has featured against his former club and Robins is looking forward to seeing him.

“His time here is well documented, and he was absolutely brilliant for us and he’s a top person," he said.

“It was sad to see him go, and everyone felt the same way. He was a stalwart and is highly regarded by the support, staff and the rest of the players and he has a place in this club’s history and the supporters’ hearts forever more and rightfully so. He’s a top, top, human being.”

Coventry have fallen short of the play-offs this season and now have little to play for against Rovers. Robins again expressed his pride at the levels his players have reached this week.

“Everyone is proud of parts of things, but ultimately, we will be disappointed. When we look back at things when we get time, it will change from then on," he said.

“When you have been high achievers for a long time and you get to a stage like that, you know it’s going to be tough and it’s a tough ask.

“The number of the games we’ve had to play in a short amount of time is always a big ask, at the levels we’ve been asked to play at.

“I was really proud of them the other night in terms of the levels they were able to reach, and I was surprised we was able to get to those levels, they gave everything.

“If you give everything at any stage it stands you in good stead and they’ve been through a tough period and a mentally tough period as well.

“When we reflect at the end of the season, we can look back and start to look at what we’ve done and what they’ve done and how we’ve been improved and how we go again next season.”
